Happy Bastille Day!!!

For me there are so many reasons to love France and adore Paris.  Who would not want to be one of these two women.  They are sitting together in Place de Vosges enjoying a beautiful sunny spring day.    They are not the only ones enjoying the day.  People all around them are taking advantage of the sun and warmth.
These two men are quite content to be sitting alone reading.  All around Paris you see people sitting in the park reading.  It really is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
I would sit in the park every Sunday and read if there was a park with pretty flowers nearby.

Happy Bastille day to you too. If only we were there. Lots of fun celebrations. I love to just sit in a park whether it be famous or not :-)

Happy Bastille Day to you too! I'm reminiscing about Bastille Day last year with my post today. I love your pictures today, I so enjoy watching people enjoy the beautiful public parks of Paris, and they very often are reading aren't they? I really love your last photo of the two women reading, with the spring blooms behind them. Gorgeous.

Esme, Those pictures do show some ideal ways to spend Bastille day. I haven't seen many people sit backward on a bench like that. Hope they have some good books to read. Thanks for playing along today. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme

Reading in the park (in Paris)...is there anything better?

My only slight sadness on visiting Paris last time was wanting desperately to eat in the parks -- and it was so rainy we only managed it once -- at Place des Vosges. How this post makes me smile!
